A truly unique Madison experience!  Enjoy spectacular local bands accompanied by the best views in the city!  Concerts on the Rooftop offer a wonderful opportunity for networking after work, or kicking back with friends and family. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair; seating on the rooftop is limited. The Lake Vista Cafe will be open for your enjoyment. Picnic baskets are welcome. Sorry, no carry in alcohol.  Proudly serving Great Dane beer, Monona Terrace offers a selection of beverages and casual gourmet faire on the rooftop. In the case of inclement weather, please call 608.261.4000 after 3pm for concert location. Concerts will be moved inside unless otherwise indicated.

Dane Dances

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Monona Terrace is thrilled to again serve as the home of Dane Dances!  This summer music series is of Madison’s most popular summertime events! Great dancing, eclectic food and the opportunity to connect with other people from diverse backgrounds draws an average of 3,000 people to the rooftop every Friday evening in August. These special concerts were created to help break down racial barriers and bring people of all backgrounds together for a night of free entertainment and dancing. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair; seating on the rooftop is limited. The Lake Vista Cafe will be open for your enjoyment. Food vendors open and cocktails are available for purchase beginning at 5 p.m. Picnic baskets are welcome. Sorry, no carry in alcohol.  In the case of inclement weather, please call 608.261.4000 after 2PM for concert location. Concerts will be moved inside unless otherwise indicated.

 

Tunes at Monona Terrace

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Slip on your dance shoes and enjoy familiar tunes from the heyday of live dance music. Tunes' concerts feature the talents of local and regional musicians showcasing a wide variety of musical genres including polka, big band, swing, 50s & 60s, Blues, and tribute bands. A cash bar and light fare are available for purchase at 5pm. Ample seating available. A wooden dance floor will be available at all in door concerts.

"Vic Ferrari Symphony on the Rocks" is a 7-piece band joined by a 30 member symphony! Classic Rock and Dance Music with the best Midwest Musicians makes for one incredible listening and dancing experience. This is the first Symphony in North America to perform with iPads only! You truly can see the musicians performing with Vic Ferrari! This unique show is celebrating 7 awesome years with engaged audiences. There is nothing like it! Free to the public, this event also kicks of the 2014 Wisconsin State Music Conference.
